Josey
Alaskan Malamute
Siberian Husky
Female
Adoptable

UPDATE: After 2 failed surgeries on her luxating patellas the wonderful Dr. Shear has decided that there is no way Josey will benefit from another attempt. She will always have twisted back legs, though they do not hold her back at all. Josey is not good with cats and is touchy about her back end after all her treatment. Otherwise she is a wonderful, playful, and sweet girl. We are now looking for a special adopter for our special girl. She deserves an extra wonderful life after all she has been through. For more info please email us or call 827-8722 When Josey arrived at TRACS she had been abused and starved, her body condition was a .5 on a 5 number scale. She also had deformed back legs and was fostered with a surgeon in an attempt to repair them.

Cammie
Chihuahua
Dachshund
Female
Adoptable

Cammie was rescued from a shelter in Washington when she was heavily pregnant. Only a week after arriving at TRACS she had to be rushed to the vet where they preformed an emergency c-section where she gave birth to 4 pups. Sadly one of the pups passed away and due to complication Cammie was only partially able to nurse the rest of her brood. She was never able to produce enough milk by herself to fully sustain them. Now that her pups are weaned Cammie is looking for her forever home. This girl has personality and likes to let you know her thoughts and emotions with various sounds. Funny enough though, she rarely barks! Cammie will need time in her new family to bond but once she does she is an awesome friend and companion. You just need to get over her initial gruffness to find her super sweet heart. If you are interested in adopting please fill out an adoption application at www.pet-tracs.com located in the adoption center menu under forms. You can also email or call 827-8722

Cindy
Pug
Toy Fox Terrier
Female
Adoptable

Little Cindy came to TRACS as a very pregnant girl of about 2 years of age. She had her babies on May 1 and was an excellent momma. They have now been adopted and Cindy is looking for her new and permanent home. She is a cute mixture of what appears to be pug (body) and fox terrier face and head. She has a very curly tail and looks from behind like a pug, then she turns around and you see terrier. Her babies were all different and some looked like sheltie and some like pom terriers. She is now spayed and fully vaccinated and microchipped, so she is ready for that new home. She is extremely protective of her space and loves her people, but is not fond of meeting new people or new dogs, so she would make a great watch dog. She definitely bonds to her person and loves to be held, loved, and petted, but it will take a little time to get her there with her new owners. If interested let us know via our website at shelter@pet-tracs.com.

Bonnie
Black and Tan Coonhound
Female
Adopted

Bonnie is a very sweet and lovable 6-7 month old female coon hound. We strongly suspect that this girl was subject of a dumping, as she stumbled onto a remote ranch very hungry and very thirsty. Luckily the residents fed and watered her and brought her to us. Now that we have assured that no owner is actively looking for her she is up for adoption. We are not going to sugarcoat anything, she is very much a hound, and she seems to have very little in the way of training. She pulls on the leash, she bays quite a bit, and she has a lot of energy. She is a wonderful dog though, and has tons of potential. She is loving and has a desire to please. Bonnie deserves so much more than what she has been offered by life so far, and hopefully there is a hound lover out there that can see all her potential! Bonnie has been spayed, micro-chipped, and is up to date on her vaccinations, if you are interested in this girl please email us at shelter@pet-tracs.com for information on adoption.

Dingo
American Staffordshire Terrier
Australian Cattle Dog
Male
Adoptable

Dingo is a well-behaved 4-5 year old pit-bull mix that would love nothing more than to be someones couch potato. Dingo is potty trained and knows some basic commands, he also loves to go for leash walks! He gets along great with most dogs, large and small, and loves to be around the middle-school to high-school aged kids that come to help walk a few times a week. Dingo found himself with us after his owners body was found locally. With no other family that could take him we are now searching for a loving home for this very deserving dog. He wants to be a cuddle bug and be lay next to his person as much as possible. If you are interested in giving this friendly dog a great home and you don't have any cats please contact us at shelter@pet-tracs.com for more details on how to adopt.

Clark
Labrador Retriever
Male
Adoptable

Clark is an 8-10 month old lab that hasn't had the easiest life thus far. Clark and his Queensland Heeler friend Lewis were dumped in the middle of know where and were very nearly shot to remove them from the area. Clark is energetic and goofy, and to be honest needs a lot of training. Not much has been done in the way of manners or obedience. It is very possible that someone put no time into him and then decided he was to much trouble before releasing him into the woods. When Clark arrived here he was, and still is very very skinny. But he is gaining weight everyday. Clark would probably be a great candidate to train for hunting or retrieving as he is very smart. Clark needs an understanding and patient home without cats to rise to his full potential and be the dog he was meant to be. Not someones trash to be discarded. Clark like most labs is cheerful, friendly, and athletic, and is sure to make the right family a perfect companion for all the rest of his years.

Buck
Australian Cattle Dog
Male
Adoptable

Buck is a 2.5 year old heeler and is a large dog for the breed (60 pounds+). He has everything you expect in the breed, intelligence, good watchdog, active, (LOVES to fetch a ball), loyal, always wanting to be with his people. He is also quite affectionate, a big baby who loves to cuddle. He has a wide vocal range with yips, whines, barks, growls, moans and each sound has a special meaning. He does not exhibit the common heeler trait of biting or nipping, and is very friendly with all people, kids and adults both. He is 100% crate trained and even understands the command "crate" and will run right in there and lay down. Buck does not get along with other dogs, or animals smaller than him so would need to be an only pet. This boy will make a wonderful family dog to someone that has a secure fence or plenty of property for him to run on. Buck is in foster care so please contact us for more information if you are interested in meeting this boy. shelter@pet-tracs.com

Benji
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
Male
Adoptable

Benji is a very lovable and social wheaten terrier mix boy that is around 2 years old and between 30 and 35 lbs. He has been friendly to most other dogs though he really really seems to like the girls :) Benji is potty trained and not a chewer, and he seems to be somewhat kennel trained. However Benji can easily clear a 4 ft fence and needs to have a secure yard with a 5 or more probably 6 foot fence. He is a terrier so if something runs away he is going to think it is a great game and give chase. Benji is friendly with cats, however his idea of actually playtime with them involves trying to get them to run so he can run too. Benji is being treated for a non-contagious skin problem and will come with the remainder of his medication, 1 pill to be given toward the end of August and another pill to be given in November. After these dosages he should not require any more treatment. Benji is an absolutely wonderful boy, and we know there is a wonderful home out there waiting for him!
